More than Academics
At Outdoor Connect Christian Academy TK-6, we’re proud to offer a unique educational experience designed to enhance intellectual growth and promote participatory engagement. Take a look through our site to learn more about us.
The Beginning of Something Beautiful
Outdoor Connect Christian Academy started in the heart of a Christian mother and educator with the firm intention to provide "MORE THAN ACADEMICS" to her son and other children that could benefit from a Chrisitan Education and learning Academics outdoors.
After several years of research on the benefits of learning academic content outdoors, OCCA opened its doors in 2017 as a Non-denominational Christian School serving students in TK and 1s Grade. For the 2018-2019 school year, OCCA serves students in TK-6th grade.
Understanding and experiencing the benefits of being a small non-segregated age school, OCCA intents to continue to be a micro-school where students can experience a nurtured home-like environment, receive an individualized curriculum, and gain life skills to become successful adults.
MORE THAN ACADEMICS
Our mission is to provide a truthful holistic instruction by creating an educational atmosphere where students can grow academically and emotionally with an individualized curriculum connected to academic content, the outdoors, God, and daily hands-on experiences.
To help students gain and model Christian values and principles interlinked in their daily curriculum
To better our students learning through meaningful experiences in our outdoor classroom
Aid to the development of independent thinkers, problem solvers, caring and loving individuals, academic achievers, emotionally intelligent individuals, productive members of society, and servers od God.
To prepare students to the real world through our entrepreneurship and leadership program
To form individuals that care for nature, the environment, and the well being of others
To give students opportunities to appreciate life and find happiness in the simplest things
